Gt-grandpa's story

My name is Lim Boon Eow.
I was born in 1857 in Penang, Malaysia. I am the first generation of Chinese immigrants to be born in Penang.
My parents sailed on a junk from Fujian Province to Penang. They were quite well off, and had a plantation in Penang.
I was married in 1898 to another plantation owner's daughter. She was so rich, she used to squash the fruits that had fallen from the fruit trees with her toes.
My daily task as a plantation owner included getting my 22 slaves and servants to bath by horse whipping them.
I died in 1918 and was buried halfway up the hill at the Batu Lanchang Road Cemetery. My descendant would one day come to my gravestone to research me.
Have anyone got my name?
